Neha Singh is a Mumbai based children’s author, theatre prahctitioner and activist. Neha has published her books with notable publications including Penguin Random House India, Kardi Tales and Seagull Books. She writes poems, fiction and
non-fiction in Hindi for children and young adults that feature regularly in children’s magazines “Cycle”, “Pluto” and “Chakmak”. Her poems and stories for children have been turned into posters, bookmarks and poetry cards for children.
Neha’s books have been nominated for several Indian and international awards like Jarul Book
Awards, Neev Literary Awards, Comicon India Awards, Peekabook Awards and her book “I need to pee” won a commendation at the South Asia Book Awards 2019 in the U.S.A.
About Neha Singh
1. How much does it cost and what does it include?
The workshop charges are INR 22,500 for double sharing participants. The cost includes your stay at Utopia Farmstay for 4 nights, breakfast, lunch and dinner on first four days, and breakfast as well as lunch on the day of departure . It includes your workshop fees and there are no additional taxes.
2. Can children participate?
Children above the age of 15 are welcome to participate!
3. What do I need to bring?
Please do bring pen/pencil and a notebook to write in. You can also carry any of your work that you would like to get critical inputs for.
4. What are the meals like?
We will provide a simple vegetarian home-cooked meal. We will also provide chai before departure.
5. How are accommodation facilities?
Our cottages are cozy and comfortable. They are well-equipped with an AC, tea/coffee kettle, and basic toiletries. The workshop cost does not include a stay, but you're more than welcome to book a stay if you'd like.
6. How many participants will there be in the workshop(s)?
We need a minimum of six participants for the workshop(s). In the unlikely event that we don't get four participants, the workshop(s) will be canceled and you will get a full refund of the amount. We are not accepting more than 20 participants.
7. What will you learn in the workshop?
The participants will learn to understand the contemporary world of children’s literature in India and the world, including picture books, chapter books, poetry and novels for young adults.
