Carpentry workshop with Adwait Kher

In this Carpentry Workshop with Adwait Kher, you can a weekend at our rustic farm stay enjoying some lip-smacking food, making new friends and more importantly learning something new!

Through this beginners workshop, you will learn about the various types of wood, what kinds of tools are used, understand the basics of joinery and finally get to operate some commonly used machinery!

Also, at the end of this carpentry workshop with Adwait Kher, you even get to take everything you made back home.

In addition to sourcing and designing, we (Uttara and Adwait) have been exporting furniture for nearly twenty years now. Earlier, this started off as a means to quench my wanderlust.

I, (Adwait) would get into a truck (with no real destination in mind) and just roam villages across the country. It amazed me how rich we were architecturally and culturally. During these travels, however, I realised that we were burning away our history (quite literally) because the villagers were turning century-old relics into firewood! Since I was unable  to fathom that, I would  fill up the truck with whatever I could find and bring at home. Very soon, we ran out of space and therefore, I began my furniture business.
